First in Heart
Denton Regional Medical Center has a long history of excellence in cardiac care, and has led the way in Denton County by providing the following firsts for our community:
- First Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- First Pacemaker Placement
- First Open Heart Surgery
- First Off-Pump Open Heart Surgery
- First Accredited Chest Pain Center
- First Minimally Invasive Cardiac Robotic Surgery
As Denton’s only Cycle III Accredited Chest Pain Center, no other hospital is better prepared in a cardiac emergency. Our experts partner with local EMS units to share technology that allows them to transmit important diagnostic information from the field to our facility. As a result, our “door-to-balloon” time (critical in opening blocked arteries) is better than the national average.
